East Africa Birding Safari
It is not only the diversity of species that makes East Africa such a special birding destination; it is the quality of the habitat and the quantity of birds. It is simply impossible to raise your head to the sky anywhere in the wilderness without instantly seeing birds.
Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda and Rwanda are amazing birding destinations, with several thousand species of birds recorded in the countries, a visiting birder on a birding safaris can expect to see over a thousand species of birds especially in Kenya and Tanzania. It’s not only the pristine and world largest wilderness areas as well as wildlife reserves and the quality of birding and wildlife safaris in the region is unrivaled. Endangered species are very common in all the four countries and therefore there is much for a birder to enjoy.
Our objective is providing our customers with a thoroughly worthwhile experience in which they not only see as many birds as possible but also take away new knowledge on such ornithology subjects as migration, identification, molt/ageing and field craft on the birding tour of a lifetime. Birding Safaris in Kenya offered by Africa Nature Tours and Safaris are designed in a way that will give our clients the opportunity to sample our unique rich birdlife in terms of their geographical distribution and habitat. Ranging from fragment of tropical rain and montane forest, fresh water, semi-alkaline and alkaline lakes located in the heart of the Great Rift Valley, semi arid bushes and the sweeping savannas. All these habitats combined together provide you with the most memorable birding safari you have ever had!
Our birding tour leaders are local residents with ornithology expertise and have great experience in leading birding groups around Kenya. They assist the guest in sorting out bird identification, location and navigating the birding sites.
