Day 1. Addis Ababa

Upon arrival in Addis Ababa, you will be picked up and taken to your chosen hotel. After a morning of leisure, you will have a tour of the capital, visiting Entoto mountain with its views over the city, the National and Ethnographic museums, St George’s Church and the Mercato, which is the biggest open-air market in Africa. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2. Debre Libanos

Start your tour by driving to the Debre Libanos monastery, which has wonderful views over the Jemma River. You’ll also visit the Old Portuguese Bridge and spot the endemic Gelada baboons. You will then drive to Bahirdar, crossing the Blue Nile Gorge and enjoying a picnic lunch, arriving late in the afternoon. Dinner and Overnight at Abayminch

Day 3. Blue Nile Falls

You will visit the spectacular Blue Nile falls, which are about an hour’s drive from your hotel.  In the afternoon, you will visit Lake Tana and travel by boat to visit the churches on its islands, such as Ura Kidane Mehret and Asua Mariam. Dinner and Overnight at Bahirdar.

Day 4. Amhara tribe

In the morning, you will make the 2-hour drive to Gondar, passing magnificent landscapes on the way as well as Lake Tana and villages of the Amhara people. After lunch at your hotel, we will visit the castles, the Debre Birhan Sellasie (light of Trinity) Church with wonderful murals, King Fasiladas’s bath and Empress Mentewab’s palace. Have dinner in a restaurant in town. Dinner and Overnight at Taye Belay or Florida International

Day 5. Naktuleab

You will proceed to Lalibela, passing beautiful views and enjoying lunch on the way. Before reaching Lalibela, you will visit the Naktuleab cave church. Dinner and Overnight at Lalibela (Mountain View

Day 6. Rock-hewh Churches

Spend the day visiting the rock-hewn churches, defined as the eighth wonder of the world. Walk around the churches and you’ll be astonished by the beautiful architecture and amazing work that has been done to build these churches. In the late afternoon you can also take part in a traditional Ethiopian coffee ceremony in your hotel or a local house. Coffee ceremonies are a very important part of Ethiopian culture and daily life.

Day 7. Lake Hayk

Proceed through wonderful views to Lake Hayk, where you can admire the Debre Estifanos Church on its island. You will then continue your drive to the town of Kombolcha, where you will have dinner in the Tecle Hotel restaurant. Dinner and Overnight at Sunny Side, Tecle, Hikma

Day 8.Amhara and Oromo tribe – Addis Ababa

Drive back to Addis Ababa, marvelling at spectacular views on the way and passing through the villages of the Amhara and Oromo people. Spend the afternoon at leisure in the hotel at take a flight back home.
