Day 1: Arrival 

This first day embodies pick up from Kanombe airport in Kigali by our experienced Congo tour company guides or drivers and transfer you to Mille Collines hotel for dinner and overnight. 

Day 2: Transfer to Goma

Go Gorilla Trekking in Congo on 6 Days Congo Safari with Gorilla Expeditions

Wake up very early in the morning and after having your breakfast and then embark on the long drive westwards to Gisenyi.Go through the rigorous border arrangements and cross over to Goma in the DR Congo.Check in at hotel ihusi for Dinner and Overnight.

 Day 3: Mountain Gorilla tracking

This is the most rewarding day of this safari. With packed lunch, proceed and various refreshments very early in the morning after breakfast head for the mountain gorilla tracking in the virunga National park. After the briefing from the authority of the park, set off for the memorable gorilla tracking adventure in the tropical rain forest searching for the habituated gorilla family. This adventure takes a full hour observing and photographing them. After this hectic exercise, return to the hotel in Goma for dinner and overnight. 

Day 4:Transfer to Bukavu

Rise up in the morning and have breakfast then after wards get on the ferry and boat and navigate on lake Kivu to Bukavu.Reach there in the evening and move into mission suedoise hotel for Dinner and Overnight.

Day 5:Lowland Gorilla tracking

 Rise up very early in the morning and have breakfast and embark on the memorable adventure of tracking the lowland gorillas in Kahuzi Biege national park. This exercise though tiresome but worthy it due to the amazing attributes of this kind of gorillas. This tracking takes between 1-4 hours and there after enjoy nature walks in the Kahuzi Biege park and also visit Tshibati waterfalls.Then visit Bukavu town, Mbayo tea plantations,the research center and the surrounding traditional homes. Return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 6:Goma-Kigali

Wake up not so early in the morning and enjoy leisure.Then in the afternoon after lunch take the ferry boat and return to Goma and then relocate back to Kigali and thus the end of the safari.
