Day 1 Pickup from Airport, Transfer to DR Congo

Our safari guide will be waiting on your arrival Kigali Airport; the easiest gateway to the Mountain gorilla tracking area inside of Congo. He will help you at the border customs crossing point with documentation clearance and drive on to Goma town close to Virunga National Park for overnight at your Hotel. You will check in and and relax.

Day 2 Mountain Gorilla trekking

The safari guide will drive after an early breakfast to the trekking starting point at Parc National des Virunga. You will embark on your guided trekking exercise having completed all our park formalities. Mountain gorilla trekking is a once in a lifetime exciting activities on an African adventure safari and duration of trekking time cannot be estimated, sometimes meeting the gorillas in the lawns of the office and other times taking half day while on very rare occasions missing them altogether. You will therefore move with parked lunch and enough drinking water to make you through. Besides meeting the gorilla families doing about the routine activities of the day, the thick forests are a habitat for other wildlife species and getting in close contact with them is an icing on the cake. Trekking exercise done, you will return to your Hotel to a late lunch, relaxation and make merry of your achievement as you await dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3 Nyiragongo volcano hiking, camping

After an early breakfast you begin your overnight adventure hiking of the Nyiragongo volcanic mountain to view volcanic eruption first hand. Along the way is a luxuriant vegetation and a conducive habitat for many wildlife species. There are beautiful scenic views that go beyond Lake Kivu into Rwanda and the plain rift valley bed. The images of eruption and the lava crater in the darkness of the night will be on your mind for ages. You will have your dinner by the campfire and enjoy the bright stars of the night. You will then sleep to the coldness of the night due to high elevation feeling proud for the achievements of the African adventure safari.

Day 4 Departure

You will embark on return journey to the trailhead after a hot cup of coffee and snacks breakfast to shake off the biting coldness arriving in time to set off for lunch in Goma city. You will then proceed onto border point and get back to Rwanda and Kigali Airport for your outbound flight.
